Department of Mechanical Engineering prepares students for positions that require skillful and imaginative solutions to solve engineering problems in their specializations. The department has well experienced faculty and staff members of proven abilities and administrative skills. The entire faculty possess minimum post graduate in different disciplines of Mechanical Engineering. Few faculties are pursuing Doctoral Programmes. Department helps the faculties by providing IIT sponsored workshops and other quality improvement programs.

To impart practical knowledge department organizes Industrial Toursfor the students for every semester. These tours provide the first hand understanding of working of industries and help students in to become better engineers.In addition to theory classes, we also arrange guest lectures by the experts from an industry& academia to through light on latest trends in the fields Mechanical Engineering. Students in the Department are also provided with good computational knowledge and exposed to mechanical engineering software.

Mechanical Engineering - is well known as an evergreen branch of Engineering. Mechanical engineers can seek jobs in Government Department, Public Sector Undertakings like Railways, Navy, military engineering services, DRDO, NTPC etc. and also there is scope in Private Sector and as well as in research and development department of automobile sector.

Eligibility :
Candidates should be Indian nationals.
Candidates should be graduate in Engg./ Technology with minimum 50% marks. For those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC (excluding creamy layer) categories of Madhya Pradesh need minimum 45% marks in their graduation, a minimum of 45% marks in their graduation.
