Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal, successfully organized Oriental TechHack 2.0, A National Level Hackathon on April 30, 2026, bringing together innovators and tech enthusiasts from across India.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. S. Surya Prakash (Vice Chancellor, National Law Institute University Bhopal), Guest of Honor Dr. Dharmendra Koshtha (Joint Director, Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation), along with esteemed guests Shri Saurabh Nirmale (Regional Consultant & Innovation Center Incharge, Bhopal, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell; Entrepreneur & Program Manager, All India Council for Technical Education) and Shri Rahul Rajat Singh (Software Gardener; Principal Architect; Engineering Advisor & Mentor (Ex-CTO), Delogue PLM).
The hackathon saw participation from 200+ teams, including 72 external teams from cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, and Indore, reflecting its national reach.
With a prize pool of ₹1 lakh, awards were presented across 10 categories, along with runner-up, consolation, and winner recognitions. Participants addressed 12 problem statements spanning key themes like Agriculture, AI, Mechanization, IoT, Smart Applications, and Smart Sustainable Cities. The event was sponsored by Cybrom Technology Pvt Ltd.

Bhopal is a city in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It's one of India’s greenest cities. There are two main lakes, the Upper Lake and the Lower Lake. On the banks of the Upper Lake is Van Vihar National Park, home to tigers, lions and leopards. The State Museum has fossils, paintings and rare Jain sculptures. Bhimbetka Rock Shelters: On the highway leading to Hoshangabad, the Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka are situated about 45 km to the southeast of Bhopal. The site is 10 km long and around 3 km wide.
